Democrats, Republicans, and DC Bartenders
Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc has surveyed Washington DCs premier bartenders who serve many of our nation's politicians from both parties. Is it possible that politicians' drinking trends can be politically revealing? Here are partial results of the survey:Who is a better tipper? Democrats 60%, Republicans 38%
Who is more likely to order a drink straight up? Democrats 14%, Republicans 82%
Who is more likely to order a fruity (pink) drink? Democrats 58%, Republicans 34%
Who has the better pick-up lines? Democrats 74%, Republicans 14%
Who is better at giving a toast? Democrats 63%, Republicans 36%
Who is more likely to arrive first to happy hour? Democrats 48%, Republicans 50%
Who is more likely to be the last to go home? Democrats 53%, Republicans 46%
If the bartenders are this observant, perhaps they should be in Congress while our politicians mix the drinks?
If anyone has any thoughts on this, please feel free to post them.

Help me out here. These stats indicated there's a Republican dominance because the majority of Democrats are in bars?
Parson:
I don't know. That's not the way I read the survey. I took it that the survey concerned all politicians, Democrat and Republican, who frequent such establishments.
Parson;
And also their behavior in those establishments-- nothing more.
Allan, sorry about that. My tongue-in-cheekness didn't come through.
Parson:
I apologize-- I clearly had an obtuse moment.
I was hoping to have some bipartisan fun with this, like, what does it mean that Democrats are better tippers? Is it because Republicans are stingy and unconcerned about the "little guy" or is it because Democrats have an easier time spending taxpayer money?
Or, do the Republicans do worse at pick-up lines because they are not good at diplomacy or are the Democrats just smooth talking used car salespersons?
This is the kind of survey we can have some fun with.
